Our Founders

The Awareness Program was founded in 1974 by Howard Bibby, shown here with his wife and business partner, Marilyn.  Mr. Bibby was also founder of the Fellowship Hall in Palm Desert, which is an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting location. Additionally, he was influential in developing the ABC Recovery Center in Indio. After Howard and Marilyn passed away their Daughter Candace Bibby took over management to continue the Bibby legacy of service to others. Candace passed away in August of 2021 and now the team at the Awareness Group honors the Bibby Family by continuing what they began.
